FAST TRACK TO FILM

Fast Track To Film

Fast Track to Film is a fast-track training programme which will enable up to 8 aspiring trainees with previous film experience to access hands-on learning and experience in Film and TV Drama.

South West Screen is looking for bright new talent who already have some experience in the industry to join a unique six month film training scheme where trainees will have the opportunity to take up the following job roles:

  • Production Assistants aspiring to fast-track to (Assistant) Production Co-ordinator
  • Newly qualified Accountants aspiring to (Assistant) Production Accountant
  • Trainee Riggers aspiring to Rigger or Stagehand
  • Trainee Electricians aspiring to Lighting Technician/Assistant

The scheme will consist of a two-week, expenses-paid induction - including professional short-course training - followed by a 32 -week placement for which trainees will receive a weekly training bursary of £200. Upon completing Fast Track to Film each trainee will receive individual advice and guidance to help them make the next move up the ladder.

The scheme is supported and funded by the Skillset Film Skills Fund and delivered by South West Screen.
