South West Screen supports a number of initiatives aimed at creative production development.

Each is underpinned by a desire to offer long term benefits to participating individuals and/or companies or to enable the exploration of innovative techniques or technologies with learning benefits for the sector regionwide.

Through these initiatives South West Screen seeks to nurture and extend talented individuals, and their companies, in order to support a dynamic and growing creative community.

Examples of recent projects include:

• Support for artists film projects from ethnic backgrounds
• Investment in collaborative development projects aimed at innovative production
• A short film production scheme incorporating high level industry mentoring
